Who are you?
A student, sister, daughter, creative writer and day dreamer
Why is your blog called ‘That’s So Bland’?
When I was creating it I wanted to name it something interesting and I was struggling to find something that kind of portrayed who I was successfully, my friends were suggesting names and one of them said “Why not just put your name?” and my reply was quote the exact words “That’s so bland.” and although it sounded quirky, I think it’s fitting for how I view my work.
Tell us a bit about yourself.
I’m an English student who doesn’t read as much and a writer who barely writes. I like my sleep, my bed and the beach and I absolutely love some quality time with myself. I do have friends – they hate me because I don’t reply promptly to the group messages
Harry Potter. People want to hear something different, well, sorry people. It was my first post “key stage” book and whilst I may not remember every single detail of that story (to all you potterheads), it still is my favourite book. Second to that would be The stories of Sherlock Holmes because clearly from my answers I am a fan girl. (although I’m still in the process of reading these – there are so many.)
If I had to recommend just one movie the one that comes to mind straight away is Into the Wild. That movie is pure gold. It’s gut wrenching and exhilarating all at the same time and when I realised it’s based on a true story it was all the more powerful. It’s my go to movie for inspiration. I’ll admit it’s slow and serious but that’s what makes it beautiful.
Who inspires you?
I don’t have a single person persay but I’m inspired by everthing around me. Things that happen to me, in my life, in the life of someone I know or just something I’ve seen, movies, people or events in the streets, something I’ve read about or heard about.
What is your favourite quote?
“You are wrong if you think Joy emanates only or principally from human relationships. God has placed it all around us.” By Jon Krakauer in Into The Wild
What are your goals?
To keep this blog alive and well
